Our custom-made fiber optic cables are in a rugged, yet flexible stainless steel jacket and mated directly to the spectrometer slit utilizing an innovative termination designed to ensure the highest spectral transmission. The precise fit and alignment of the fiber optic cable against the spectrometer slit ensures that the fiber optic can be replaced in minutes right in the field without loss of calibration.   • This high-resolution, budget-friendly spectroradiometer is the most versatile in our catalog. The RS-3500 features a 512-element Si array and two 256-element extended InGaAs arrays to provide the best resolution in NIR ranges.
  • The RS-5400 provides high resolution/high sensitivity in a portable spectroradiometer for field use. The RS-5400 has a spectral range of 350-2500nm and three high-density photodiode array detectors: 1024 element UV-enhanced Silicon array for 350-1000nm; 512 element Extended InGaAs photodiode array for 1000-1900nm, and a 512 element Extended InGaAs photodiode array for 1900-2500nm.   • Spectral Evolution provides accurate, affordable spectroradiometers for testing, measuring, and classifying continuous solar simulators. Rapid and accurate measurement of electrical power output and related characteristics of PV cells, modules, and panels is critical to solar manufacturers to ensure that their products will perform to promised levels during their outdoor life. Solar simulators are used to test the cells, modules, and panels under a set of standardized conditions. The solar simulators mimic the natural sunlight that the panels will see when installed. The solar simulators themselves are tested to be sure they meet ASTM and IEC standards for three areas: spectral match, spatial uniformity, and temporal stability. Spectral match classifies a solar simulator based on the amount of light (irradiance) it outputs and assigns a Class A, B, or C status based on performance measurements in wavelengths from 400-1100nm. Uniformity measures the irradiance at different point in the area covered by the simulator. Consistent output must be measured at different points. Temporal stability measures performance over time.
  • In solar cell, module, and panel manufacturing there is a need to classify pulsed solar simulators for testing and verifying panel performance. The SR-1901PT spectroradiometer is ideal for quantification of pulsed solar simulators as part of a manufacturer's quality control process. Pulsed solar simulators are used to test large solar panels at a fraction of the cost of continuous solar simulators. Before a solar simulator can be used, it must be monitored and classified to prove that it can provide consistent information on panel or even cell performance. The SR-1901PT is ideal for classifying pulsed solar simulators. Compact and portable, it is easy to take to any measurement challenge and can be quickly set up and used. It operates with a convenient integral phototrigger. Running our DARWin SP Data Acquisition software, the SR-1901PT includes spectral match reports for AM1.5.
