Overview
The oreXpert field spectrometer is engineered to deliver industry-leading spectral resolution in the demanding conditions of field exploration and mining. Designed for reliable operation in rugged environments, the instrument combines laboratory-grade performance with the portability and durability required for on-site mineral identification.
At the core of the oreXpert is a sophisticated optical system incorporating three high-density thermoelectrically cooled photodiode arrays. These cooled detectors minimize thermal noise, maximize signal-to-noise performance, and provide exceptional spectral stability across a wide range of environmental conditions. The result is highly repeatable, high-quality measurements that users can trust throughout extended field campaigns.
Our portable spectrometers and EZ-ID™ mineral identification software allow you to identify in seconds more than 1,100 minerals. You can explore more territory and make more informed decisions on where to drill to maximize exploration outcomes. Used in the core shack, you can map alteration and eliminate unnecessary assays on cores that show no potential, reduce the time logging takes and build a digital archive of your results.
All instruments are designed for field work with a rugged chassis, no moving optical parts, and metal-clad fiber optic cable that’s field replaceable. They feature one-touch operation with auto-dark current and auto-exposure. Communications include wireless Bluetooth and USB connection.
