New, more powerful lithium-ion batteries for Spectral Evolution’s spectroradiometers, including the SR-6500 ultra-high resolution field spectroradiometer

Lawrence, MA – October 16,2018 – SPECTRAL EVOLUTION introduces new more powerful lithium-ion batteries for its field portable spectroradiometers including the SR-6500 ultra-high resolution field spectroradiometer. The batteries produce 148Whr for approximately 8 hours of scanning in the field from a single battery. The new battery is 8 x 5.25 x 1.5 inches (20.32 x 13.34 x 3.81 cm) and weighs 2.5 pounds (1.13 kg). It fits within the side pockets of our custom backpack for field instruments and connects via cable to an instrument. A battery charger is included with each battery. Scan all day then charge overnight for the next day.

The SR-6500 delivers ultra-high resolution and high sensitivity in a field spectroradiometer. It is well-designed for geological, mining and soil analysis applications when used with a contact probe and includes a range of FOV fiber optic lenses and our unique leaf clip for remote sensing applications including ground truthing satellite and flyover data, vegetation and canopy studies.
